This year we are doing things a little differently to countdown to Christmas. I actually allowed myself time to bask in the tryptophan glow after Thanksgiving for a few days and wasn't in a big rush to pull out the tree or start any of our holiday festivities. For some reason, planning and implementing 25 different activities just seemed too much this year.
Instead, we are celebrating 12 days of Christmas. Our little envelopes are clipped to a ribbon on the fridge and each morning the girls get to open that day's number. We started on Monday and are currently on day 4.
So far, we've made donuts for a fireside picnic after dinner one evening.
Just make a hole in a biscuit (pre-made from a can thank you very much)
Fry those suckers up. Roll in sugar and they are finger-licking good.
Your children will think you are the smartest rock star there ever was.
We've worked on a special birthday/Christmas package for Pandimeena, including one very detailed picture drawn by Anna Cate and her favorite set of paper dolls.
8 little gingerbread houses were meticulously made and decorated by 8 very special little friends.
Which brings us to today, which was salt dough ornaments, of which I have no pictures uploaded yet. More festivities to soon follow...
